You realize her "really liking Minami" is literally comparable to that of a childhood crush, which is the same what Jiro has towards Shiori. Both of their crushes are not gonna get them anywhere, and neither of them are actually close to being love. However what Jiro and Akari are building is an actual foundation of love, rather than building on a foundation of a crush.

yes i do believe that most of us will fall for akari but with my experience i know alot of women who is too clingy and say somethings that they didn't really mean. those women will surely toy those imature guys like the MC here. also we like akari because we are just an observer for our screens and all their inner thoughts were being exposed to us but not to the characters in the anime. But if you are in POV of the MC you'll surely think that akari is just messing with you

Jirou is in love with the image he has of Shiori, not the real one. I think the feelings between him and Akari are more honest.
